IWA - Queen Program

IWA Queen Program

Each year we select a new IWA Watermelon Queen at our Annual Watermelon Convention. She will become a Promotional Ambassador for the Indiana and Illinois Watermelon Industries for a year. She will make appearances at Welcome Centers, County and State Fairs, Supermarkets, Parades, Festivals, Schools, TV Interviews, and many other functions as scheduled to promote the watermelon industry.

The Queen will Receive:
$1,000 Scholarship - Sponsored by Tri-Wall
$1,375 Wardrobe Allowance - Sponsored by First American Bank, Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Great Lakes Produce, and Kenworthy's
Paid Promotional Appearances
Luggage Set along with various gifts from membership

The First Runner-Up will Receive:
$1,000 Scholarship - Sponsored by Tri-Wall

The Second Runner-Up will Receive:
$200 Scholarship - Sponsored by John Nowaskie Melons

Miss Jubillee will Receive:
$100 Scholarship - Sponsored by Double T

This year's Queen will represent the Association and compete for the title of National Watermelon Queen at the following year's National Convention.

		Next year's convention promises to be more fun than ever! We are excited to announce that it will be held At the Casino Aztar Hotel in Evansville, Indiana. You'll want to arrive early to take advantage of the Casino's and Hotel's amenities.
